Sima has lived in the Greater Seattle area since 1979 and has been in health care all of her adult life. She has practiced dermatology, women's health and family practice since 1991.

Tamala Galloway

Dermatology LPN / Cosmetic Tattoo Artist 
 

Tamala brings to our clinic over 25 years of dermatologic patient care and treatments. "I have learned that as we age, we want our outside to reflect the wellness we feel on the inside." Tamala passionately describes. To have success, patient education regarding skin care, sun protection and prevention of damage are the basis of Tamala's nursing care and skin treatments. As a melanoma patient at the age of 23, she has firsthand experience and is able to share her story in the setting of malignancies. Tamala has worked with well-known Dermatologists in the Seattle area including a surgeon whom she learned skin cancer treatments and tumescent liposuction from, another surgeon who has a focus on cosmetic procedures and one who is scientific in complicated and rare skin conditions. From each of these physicians, Tamala came away with astounding knowledge of the skin, its function, diseases, the aging process and the treatments available to obtain healthy, beautiful skin.

Tamala has performed thousands of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments, chemical peels and hair removal procedures. Working with Sima and Janell (our esthetician), Tamala provides acne treatments, including walk in availability for established patients, for those deep painful blemishes that ruin our weekend. Tamala is also a Permanent Cosmetic Artist and provides a non-laser tattoo removal service at our clinic.

Claudia Rosca
Medical Assistant

Claudia is a Medical Assistant and licensed as a Health Care Associate (HCA) with the State of Washington. She joins our team with 4+ years of clinical dermatology experience. With her "get it done" attitude, she keeps the back office organized and running smoothly. Claudia is assisting our medical staff with clinical patient care and educating patients in healthy living and optimal treatment protocol.

Claudia's personality and work ethic is a great match to our fine staff and our patients have benefited greatly from her knowledge. Claudia enjoys working out and is working towards becoming a personal trainer.

Dr. Farshad Ansari

LAC, Licensed Acupuncturist, OMD

Dr. Ansari is a board diplomat of NCCAOM and licensed Acupuncturist and Holistic physician. Before undertaking the study of Acupuncture and Holistic medicine, he completed his undergraduate work in Engineering at University of Washington in 1985 and subsequently completed his graduate work in Engineering at University of California in Santa Barbara in 1987. From the early 1990’s because of his interest in Alternative medicine he studied homeopathy and botanical medicine and completed the full program by Dr. Hulshof in 1994. Since then he has been researching the alternative medicine and botanical medicine treatment of hard to treat conditions. Along with his general internal medicine acupuncture practice, Dr. Ansari has a special interest in skin and cosmetic acupuncture, treatment of musculoskeletal pain, allergy, and digestive systems.

Dr. Ansari is continually amazed by the practical effectiveness of this ancient art and science of healing and its power to help people find relief from their ailments on the physical levels and beyond. He strives to keep up with the latest in medical news and literature and provide patients with up-to-date care as well as reviewing and reading latest information in functional and holistic medicine. His philosophy of treatment begins in identifying the obstacles to healing and working with patients to identify the root cause of illness and then provide patients with customized treatment plans based on individual needs and goals. In his own words, “one of my strong beliefs in being a good practitioner is to educate and provide my patients with the tools and information that they need to achieve better health. I hope to empower my patients to achieve wellness. I believe that acupuncture and Holistic functional medicine, integrated appropriately with conventional medicine is the key for maintaining optimum health and preventing illness for my clients.”

Lacey Honrud

Licensed Esthetician

Lacey is a licensed Esthetician who has advanced training in Acupressure, Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage and Holistic healing. Lacey's purpose is to educate patients on proper skin care treatments necessary for their skin type, while providing a relaxing tranquil spa experience.Lacey also enjoys applying lash extensions and makeup applications. In her spare time, Lacey loves to play outdoors with her husband and daughter. Camping, hiking and boat rides are her family favorites.
